I've had First Commonwealth as my bank for 20 years as far back as when it was called Great American Federal. I've done all of my banking there since 1995.
I opened a hometown checking account here and everything is going great. I deposit $1000 in my account for school months ago and its still there, This may be because of the eStatement enrollment thing, because they haven't took any fee. So far so good for my first bank account :)
I've been Banking with this bank for over 30 years, since they were Called Great American federal. This branch is AWFUL. They lost a check of mine and no one can give me a straight answer to what happened to it. I had a few bad experiences so far at this branch. I will be pulling my millions and heading down to PNC with it. I highly suggest that you do the same.
Last month I applied for a small home equity loan and was denied because of "a credit history of ∅" according to Equifax. Zero?! I have a mortgage, a car loan, an several credit cards. My credit score? Very Good to Excellent range.
I called to talk to the grand loan pumbaa to plead my case. I asked if they even 'considered' the other two credit agencies but never received an answer. I asked for a call back. I have yet to receive one. I DID however get another rejection letter reiterating my ∅ credit history.
